To put in adequte windows, housings and have it done properly so it will not have to be done for another 50 plus years, that is a very good number. The building within the county are that run down, sadly. 3 & 2 story buildings, cafeterias, gymasiums (yes most of our outdated gyms have windows as well) 2.5 million is a very generous number, to be done correctly.

I guess peoples definitions for "whats best" differ. Saddens me to see the world pass our areas by.

It would be much simpler to build a new school. No matter how much fixin-up you do, you're still going to have a 50+ year old building.

We aren't to the point of building new schools. The people that in the towns that are gonna lose schools should have some input. Then you must get the figure together for renovations . Then you get another set of figures for new construction, the first study from the middle 90s, cost millions , profitted some local companies and are useless now, simply because the school board made such a mess in being deceptive about the true intentions. 15 years gone, all because somebody couldn't follow along in order. You can't jump over the rules- they are people, can't just decide to ignore them. We do have a few rights, and my opinion is as good as yours. Better for me. And I think this will be the last term for some more members of the present board. So, I wonder how they will vote?
